Consisting of Andy P on bass and vocals, Whitt’s on guitar and vocals, and Stix on drums and vocals, CHUFF perform a wide variety of material including well known hits by among others, The Small Faces, The Jam, The Undertones, The Kaiser Chiefs, The Beatles, Bryan Adams, Eddie Cochrane, Green Day, The Fratellis, The Stereophonics, Oasis and The Clash.
CHUFF use the latest top quality sound and lighting system, and can also incorporate a disco, thus providing an all inclusive entertainments package.
Drummer and vocalist Rich ‘Stix’ Wilcox began playing in the early eighties and was a member of the successful band ‘The Newbeats’. He then moved on to various local bands including ‘Southside’, ‘The Hot Dogs’ and ‘OGWA’. Rich then spent the best part of a year recording in New York as a session musician, and on his return joined forces once again to form CHUFF.
Dave Whittle started out in the eighties as a guitarist with ‘The Newbeats’ and has gigged regularly ever since. Although Dave has never made music his profession, his talent and experience gained over the last twenty years help form a vital ingredient of CHUFF’s unique sound.
Bass player and vocalist Andy Pugh started playing guitar and bass whilst still at school in Bristol, and first performed on stage during this time. During his late teens/ early twenties Andy played regularly in several bands all of which included either or both of the other two members of CHUFF. In 1996 he turned professional and spent the following 10 years on the west country pub and club circuit as a solo act, firstly under the stage name of ‘Andy P’ and then as ‘Billy Nomates’. His experience has served him well and he is well capable of leading the other two into unknown musical territory in order to please the punters!
